Division 6 is the Police zone which covers and also follows the Municipal Borders of the Buloke and Gannawarra Shires.

Division 6 is also further divided into two Police Service Areas.  Mildura Police Service Area (PSA) is based at Mildura and Swan Hill Police Service Area (PSA) at Swan Hill.

Both Police Service Area Headquarters are supervised by the relevant Police Service Area Manager.  The PSA Manager is Inspector rank.

The current manager of Mildura is Inspector Simon Clemence.

The current manager of Swan Hill is Inspector Gary Bennett.

The overall command for both Police Service Areas of Division 6 is the responsibility of the Superintendent, who is based at the Mildura Police Station at 62 Deakin Avenue, Mildura. 

Currently the Superintendent of Division 6 is Paul Naylor.

The Division 6 area covers a total of 23 Police Stations of which 6 are 'one-member' police stations.

The Division is further serviced by Crime Investigation Units, Traffic Management Units, Sexual Offences & Child Abuse Investigation Teams, a Training Unit and a number other support units and community liaison services.
